“Our Story” is quite a bit different than other accounting firms you will come across and in general we are way more fun than other accounting firms. This entire business idea was born completely out of a dream I didn’t know could ever come to life. It’s truly only because a faithful and encouraging wife pushed me to purse my dream that it ever came to be.
A brief stint in corporate accounting after college drove me into public accounting where I worked a few tax seasons for CPA firms from 2013 – 2015. I took this time to soak in everything, making note of all the things I would want to do differently. I realized that I enjoyed the actual work and the clients but could not see myself living the tax season cycle for the rest of my life. Thus, Mindy and I began planning how to start a CPA firm that focuses on work/life balance not just outside of the busy season but the entire 12 months of the year.
Fast forward a few years and here we are! Quite a few tweaks and changes later I am proud to say that our firm does not require its team members to work a crazy number of hours for weeks on end during tax season. This is far from the industry standard and I couldn’t be prouder of that. If you are looking for a firm that values faith and family over making a few extra bucks this is your kind of CPA firm.
